14-03-2021 : Lokphar Phuldei is a celebration of environmental protection – Governor

On the occasion of Phuldei, the famous folk festival of Uttarakhand, the children arrived at the Raj Bhawan on Sunday morning and showered flowers on the threshold of the Raj Bhavan with the wishes of happiness, peace and prosperity with nature. The girls held small baskets of attractive flowers in their hands and wished the Governor Mrs. Baby Rani Maurya. The Governor welcomed the children with great enthusiasm and presented them with rice, other cereals and gifts. Governor Mrs. Maurya wished the children a happy and bright future.
The Governor said that Lokparva Phool Dei is a celebration of environmental protection. Phuldei festival is the folk park of the state. This folklore gives the message of nature love and environmental protection. We have to connect future generations with our traditions and culture.
On this occasion, Padma Shri Dr. RK Jain, the organizer of the program, Mr. Shashi Bhushan Maithani of Youth Icon Creative Foundation, Acharya Vipin Joshi and others were present.
