Governor Smt Baby Rani Maurya participated as Chief Guest on the occasion of ‘Female boon’ program held at AIIMS Rishikesh on Sunday. It is worth mentioning that the Reconstruction and Cosmetic Surgery Unit of the Gynecology Department of AIIMS Rishikesh is doing treatment and diagnosis of the physical problems of women under the Women’s boon program. Under this, three main personal physical problems of women, urinary incontinence, vaginal laxity and genital mutilation will be treated free of cost. Women volunteers from various organizations who are associated with the blessing of women will be made aware of the above problems throughout the state and will be encouraged for treatment.
Addressing the program, Governor Smt. Maurya said that women should consult doctors without any hesitation or fear for diagnosis of their health related problems and get proper treatment. There are many problems which women are unable to tell due to hesitation and shame or their treatment is not available and they also become a victim of mental depression. Governor Smt.
