    04-11-2021 : Governor celebrated Diwali with the soldiers of the country posted on the border.

    Governor of Uttarakhand Lt. Gen Shri Gurmit Singh (Retd)and Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami celebrated Diwali with the soldiers of the country posted on the border. The Governor and the Chief Minister reached East Camp, Garhwal Scouts, Mana on Diwali and encouraged the soldiers along with the Army personnel. On the occasion, Governor distributed sweets among the soldiers and wished them a very happy Diwali. He said that we are all proud of the zeal and passion of the soldiers of the country posted on the borders in difficult circumstances. On reaching the East Camp Mana, the Governor and the Chief Minister were welcomed by the army personnel with a guard of honor.

    The Governor while enthusing the soldiers said that today the whole world is aware of the bravery, courage and valor of the army.

    After meeting the army personnel Governor and the Chief Minister reached the Badrinath temple and offered prayers to Lord Badrinath ji and wished for the prosperity of the country and the state.

    The Chief Minister said that it was my dream to celebrate Diwali with the soldiers of the army. I am overwhelmed to be among you today.

    Badrinath MLA Shri Mahendra Prasad Bhatt, District Magistrate Himanshi Khurana, Superintendent of Police Yashwant Singh Chauhan, SDM Kumkum Joshi and other officials were present during the visit of the Governor.
