Governor Pays Tribute to Martyrs at Shaurya Sthal

Governor Dr. Dhal Singh Bisen on Saturday visited Shaurya Sthal at Chid Bagh and paid tribute to the brave martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice while defending the nation’s borders. He laid a wreath at the memorial and paid homage to the martyrs, remembering their courage, sacrifice and devotion to the nation.

On the occasion, the Governor said that the indomitable courage, sense of duty and dedication of India’s brave soldiers in defending the motherland will always remain a source of inspiration for all. Their supreme sacrifice will remain etched in golden letters in the history of the nation.

The Governor said that Uttarakhand is a land of valour, where almost every other family has a member serving in the Armed Forces. The spirit of patriotism and service to the nation is deeply rooted in the soil of the state. He said that the people of Uttarakhand take immense pride in the brave soldiers, martyrs and their families.

Deputy GOC, Uttarakhand Sub Area, Brigadier R.S. Thapa, Colonel Tarun Kalia, along with other Army officers and personnel, were present on the occasion.
