Governor Smt. Baby Rani Maurya directed the private universities of the state to pay special attention to the prevention of students from the infection of covid-19. All students above 18 years of age should be motivated for vaccination from May 1. Governor Smt. Maurya said that students should be encouraged to do yoga regularly. They should be instructed to follow the guidelines of covid-19. Governor Smt. Baby Rani Maurya on Tuesday discussed the role of private universities in the control of COVID-19 with the Vice Chancellors of private universities of the state through video conferencing.
Governor Smt. Maurya directed that awareness programs should be conducted in the villages adopted by private universities regarding prevention of Kovid-19 infection. Efforts should be made for 100% vaccination in these villages. Governor Smt. Maurya took information from all the private universities regarding the efforts being made by them to prevent the infection of Kovid-19.
Petroleum University informed that a public awareness campaign is being run by the University in about 11-12 villages including Baghauli, Kandoli to protect against Kovid-19. Two ambulances are being made available by the university in the public interest.
An ambulance and a doctor are being provided by ICFAI University.
Masks and sanitizers are being distributed by Himgiri University in Sahaspur village and awareness campaign is being run. Awareness programs are being conducted through radio stations run by the university. Special care is being taken to protect 60 students from North East states living in Himgiri University hostels.
It was informed by IMS University that the program of distribution of masks and sanitizers in two adopted villages is proposed in the first week of May.
An oxygenated ambulance and doctor will be provided by IMS and DIT universities.
One floor of its building has been made available by DIT University for isolation for the needy in case of need. Awareness programs are being conducted through NSS students and faculty to prevent Kovid-19 infection in 5 villages adopted by the university.
Graphic Era University has informed that so far 5000 masks and face shield covers have been distributed to the police personnel by the university. Three ambulances have been made available in public interest. Isolation center has been set up.
