26-01-2022:Governor saluted the National Flag by hoisting the flag at Raj Bhawan and Parade Ground.

On the occasion of 73rd Republic Day, Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) hoisted the National flag at the Republic Day function held at Parade Ground at 10.30 am on Wednesday and took the salute of the parade.

Dutiful police personnel with Outstanding performance were felicitated by Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd).

On the occasion of Republic Day for distinguished work, Governor’s Excellence Service Medals were presented to Smt. Preeti Priyadarshini commander 31st PAC Rudrapur, Shri Ajay Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police, STF, Smt Mamta Bohra, Additional Superintendent of Police, Udham Singh Nagar.

Chief Secretary Dr. S S Sandhu, D.G.P. Shri Ashok Kumar, Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Ranjit Kumar Sinha, senior officers of police and administration, dignitaries were also present.

PAC, Uttarakhand Police, horse team, police communication, riot control vehicle, fire fighting teams participated in the march past.

Flag hoisting at Raj Bhawan

Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) hoisted the National flag at Raj Bhawan at 9.30 am. Expressing respect and gratitude to the freedom fighters and the framers of the Constitution, who laid down their lives for the freedom of the country, Governor paid a heartfelt tribute to them. After hoisting the flag at Raj Bhawan, sweets were distributed among the officers and employees of Raj Bhawan.
