13-04-2022:Governor has greeted the people of the state on the festival of Baisakhi.

Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) has greeted the people of the state on the festival of Baisakhi.

In his message, the Governor said that this was an occasion for enthusiasm and well being. “It reminds us of the important role of farmers in our socio-economic set up. Let us pray and wish for a prosperous life for the farmers of our state.” The Governor said that the festival of Baisakhi holds special significance for the Sikh community. The tenth guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji founded the Khalsa Panth on this day. The holy occasion of Baisakhi is also the beginning of the Sikh New Year.
