Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) has greeted all people of the state on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, Pongal, Bihu and Lohri, wishing them a healthy, happy and prosperous life.

In his message on the occasion, the Governor said that festivals reduced the monotony of our lives and gave us new enthusiasm, energy and strength to face the challenges of life.

“Our rich traditions help us to create and maintain communal harmony. We should carry forward this glorious heritage to ensure a healthy and progressive society,” he said.
