Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) met Dr. M. Srinivas, Member of NITI Aayog, at Lok Bhawan on Thursday during a courtesy call.

During the meeting, Dr. M. Srinivas shared his suggestions on strengthening healthcare services, achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and promoting the AYUSH sector. He emphasized the need to improve Uttarakhand’s health indicators and further strengthen primary healthcare facilities, as well as emergency and trauma care services across the state.

The Governor stated that the state government is continuously working to enhance healthcare services and ensure the holistic development of the AYUSH sector. He expressed confidence that sustained and effective efforts would continue towards achieving public welfare objectives. The Governor also noted that NITI Aayog has consistently extended positive support to Uttarakhand’s development and expressed hope that such cooperation would continue in the future in line with the state’s evolving needs.
