    Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) has appealed that the doctors should provide their services in marginal areas, villages and hilly areas. Doctors can contribute significantly in promoting reverse migration in the state. People should not migrant due to the lack of health failure from the remote areas of the state. Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) said that doctors should work with the spirit of selfless service and help the needy, poor, deprived, women, elderly and children on priority. The Governor said that telemedicine and telegridiology are not less than a boon for the hilly state like Uttarakhand. Through telemedicine, the people of the remote hilly region of the state will also get the services of the country’s best hospitals and top medical experts. We have to promote more and more telemedicine in Uttarakhand. Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (retired) on Monday, participated at the fourth convocation of Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Medical Education University, Dehradun. On this occasion, the Governor presented degrees to meritorious students. On this occasion, the Governor presented the honorary degree to Dr. J S Titayal, Dr. A. B Pant and Dr. J K Sharma. The Governor said that the Gap of Health facility can be eliminated through technology in a hilly state like Uttarakhand. Technology should be promoted in all the primary health centers, community health centers and government hospitals of the state. Online registration, telephonic consultancy, digitization of records, artificial intelligence, robotics, Big Data Analytics and machine learning should be adopted. The Governor said that during the epidemic of Covid-19, our doctors, nurses and all paramedical staff was in the role of Health Warriors. Our health Warriors have saved lakhs of lives. I bow to you for this great human service. Due to these dedicated health warriors, we have succeeded in achieving more than 100 crore Vaccination in the country. Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) said that the young doctors are requested to give leadership for reverse migration. While addressing the program, Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) said that the medical sector is constantly expanding due to the new research. Our vast population benefit from these new research, we have to pay attention to this. The governor said that Covid has been a new challenge for the Health care Sector and is still. This epidemic showed the limit of existing medical services but our scientists and doctors fought with this challenge. We developed new vaccines in record time and vaccinated one billion people. He said that our doctors and paramedics are advised that in the treatment of patients of Covid 19, we should not ignore other dangerous diseases. The Governor also advised doctors to learn and communicate in regional languages like Garhwali, Kumaoni. Because it will help the doctors to provide effective healthcare services to patients. The Governor said that Covid-19 has badly influenced the education system and institutions have to be transferred to online teaching. It was a new challenge and a new experience for both teachers and students. Doctors and nurses are seen in the whole world with great respect. Especially in India where they are considered as God. Now it is up to you, that you keep this trust and respect of people from your services and conduct.
