03-11-2021 : Governor has extended greetings on the occasion of Diwali and Govardhan Puja.

Governor Lt. Gen Shri Gurmit Singh (Retd) has extended greetings on the occasion of Diwali and Govardhan Puja.

He prayed for the happy and prosperous life of the people of the state and said that this festival of Diwali symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. He said that this festival gives the message of love, social harmony and mutual brotherhood.

The Governor said that on this Diwali, everyone should take a pledge to bring light in the lives of the weaker and deprived sections of the society. On the occasion of Govardhan Puja, a pledge should be taken to conserve and enhance the natural resources.
