    The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, the First Lady Smt. Savita Kovind and their daughter Swati Kovind, bid farewell to Parmarth Niketan on Monday. In the memory of this visit, the President offered a sapling of Rudraksha to be planted in the Parmarth complex.

    The Governor of Uttarakhand, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) accompanied the President in this program. He said that the land of Uttarakhand is divine land.

    President and his family were served traditional food of Uttarakhand such as Mandwa ki Roti, Jhingora ki Kheer, Wheat Dal at Parmarth Niketan. The President praised the local food of Uttarakhand.

    The President also interacted with teachers from free-run schools and women empowerment centers under the aegis of Divine Shakti Foundation, and a group of students, volunteers and team of volunteers from the Life Skills Program under the Global Inter faith WASH Alliance.
