Ex-Officio Role

The Governor of Uttarakhand is also the Chancellor of various Universities in the State and exercises his powers delegated to him under the respective Acts and Statutes of the Universities.
The Governor is also ex-officio President of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Uttarakhand Branch and Uttarakhand State Council for Child Welfare (USCCW).
The Governor is the Chairman of the Uttarakhand Sainik Punarvas Sanstha (USPS)
