    Publish Date : December 16, 2025

    Jai Hind!

Dear students who participated in the Bharat Darshan Educational Tour, respected teachers, and all distinguished guests present here,

Today’s occasion gives me immense happiness. For the second consecutive year, I have the privilege of listening to the experiences of meritorious students like you who have returned from the Bharat Darshan Educational Tour. This is not merely an event, but a visionary and inspiring step towards building the future of India.

I am especially pleased that through this initiative we are directly connecting the most talented, curious, and promising students of our state with the scientific, technological, historical, and cultural heritage of our nation. All of you will, in the times to come, not only lead Uttarakhand but also contribute to strengthening India’s identity on the global stage.

I have been informed that this programme was initiated in the year 2024–25. In its first phase, 156 meritorious students of the state were given the opportunity to visit major scientific, technological, and historical sites across the country. Encouraged by your enthusiasm, discipline, and positive feedback, the programme was expanded in the year 2025–26. Under this phase, 240 students were selected, and 227 students participated in this educational journey. To make this tour meaningful and well-guided, 30 dedicated teachers and principals accompanied you as mentors.

As part of this educational tour, you had the opportunity to closely observe prestigious centres of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), such as the ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) in Bengaluru, the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, and the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre in Thiruvananthapuram. You also interacted with scientists working there. In addition, you visited several states including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh, and experienced firsthand the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat”.

I am confident that by visiting these institutions, you not only witnessed India’s scientific achievements, the challenges of space research, and technological innovations, but also understood them in depth. When concepts studied in textbooks appear before you in the form of real experiments, missions, and scientific processes, they undoubtedly give a new direction to your thinking, perspective, and future dreams. It is quite possible that this journey has inspired many of you to choose your future career paths.

On this occasion, I would like to specially appreciate your teachers, who played the role of guardians, guides, and sources of inspiration throughout this journey. You have shared your experiences today, but I know that due to time constraints, many experiences, thoughts, and emotions are still stored within your hearts.

Dear students, you are the future of Uttarakhand and of India. This journey has certainly strengthened within you a scientific temperament, a spirit of innovation, patriotism, and a commitment to excellence. You must have asked many questions, satisfied several curiosities, and discovered new ones as well. You would have seen scientists as your role models and felt India moving steadily on the path of progress.

Now, when you return to your schools, you also carry the responsibility of sharing your experiences with your classmates, fellow students, parents, and members of society. You are the brand ambassadors of this journey in your schools and communities. Through you, India’s scientific achievements, the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, and a positive image of the nation should spread, so that other young people are inspired to innovate and give their best for the country.

In this direction, the role of teachers also becomes extremely important. It is now necessary to guide students with a new perspective, renewed confidence, and broader thinking, so that the true objective of this educational tour is fulfilled. I urge all of you to dream without limits and to resolve to achieve those dreams through hard work and dedication.

In conclusion, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all of you for successfully completing this proud and inspiring journey, and I wish you a bright and prosperous future.

With these best wishes, I once again pray for your success and a radiant future.

    Jai Hind!
