A Holi Milan and Excellence Felicitation Ceremony was organised at Lok Bhavan on Thursday. Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) participated in the programme and honoured employees of Lok Bhavan for their outstanding performance by presenting them with certificates of appreciation.

Addressing the gathering, the Governor congratulated the awardees and stated that any honour received by an individual is the result of dedication and hard work. He remarked that recognition also brings greater responsibility, as expectations from family, society and the workplace increase after being honoured.

The Governor emphasised that discipline and dignity are essential for achieving success in life. He said that every individual should perform their duties with commitment and responsibility. He further noted that excellence has no limits, and therefore everyone must continuously strive for improvement and higher standards in their work.

He stressed that all personnel should work with integrity and uphold moral boundaries, remaining free from greed or corrupt practices. Honesty and devotion to duty, he said, are the true hallmarks of a good employee and a responsible citizen.

Extending his greetings on the upcoming festival of Holi, the Governor said that the festival symbolises mutual affection, brotherhood and harmony. It inspires people to forget differences and strengthen bonds with one another. He added that the true spirit of Holi Milan lies in reinforcing relationships and making a positive new beginning.

On the occasion, First Lady Smt. Gurmit Kaur, Secretary to the Governor Ravinath Raman, Legal Advisor Kaushal Kishore Shukla, Additional Secretary Smt. Reena Joshi, and officers and staff of Lok Bhavan were present.
