General Secretary of Indian Redcross Society Uttarakhand met the Governor Smt. Baby Rani Maurya on Tuesday at Rajbhawan. Dr. Ansari informed that Redcross has immediately provided relief material to the affected people in the Uttarkashi district after the recent cloudburst. Volunteers of Redcross have contributed in providing relief material to the affected people immediately. Governor Smt. Maurya gave directions to the Redcross to maintain a buffer stock of relief material for hilly districts considering the sensitive monsoon season so that necessary assistance might be provided to the affected people when required. Governor appreciated the contribution of volunteers of Redcoross in relief and rescue missions in the state.
