    The Governor Mrs. Baby Rani Maurya participated in the closing ceremony of the International Yoga Festival held in Rishikesh on Sunday. Addressing the program, Governor Smt. Maurya said that ‘Yoga’ is an invaluable gift given by India to the whole world. The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has played an important role in giving yoga a new identity. He wants to build an India that has the ability to represent the world fully. It is necessary that the citizens of the country, especially the younger generation, adopt yoga so that we can achieve the goal of a healthy and developed India. Governor Smt. Maurya said that Yoga is a culture in India. For centuries, sages and sages in our country gave the message of healthy living through yoga. Today Yoga is being propagated all over the world.
    Governor Smt. Maurya said that Uttarakhand is Tapobhoomi and Yogabhoomi. Uttarakhand and Yogabhoomi Rishikesh are inhabited by nature. The patient also becomes healthy by coming here. Today the whole world is facing epidemic like Kovid-19. Today everyone is understanding the importance of immunity. Good health has become everyone’s priority. Yoga is of great importance in increasing good health and immunity. Therefore, more and more people should adopt yoga. Children should be encouraged to practice yoga since childhood. Yoga has made an important place in the Corona period. People have kept themselves healthy by adopting yoga and pranayama and consuming Ayush decoction.
    Assembly Speaker Premchand Agrawal said that people should be made more and more aware of yoga.
    Ayush Minister Dr. Harak Singh Rawat said that Yoga and Ayurveda have generated a sense of reverence and respect for Indian knowledge all over the world.
    Tourism Minister Shri Satpal Maharaj said that Yoga has amazing power. Through yoga, new energy is transmitted to the mind and body. Yoga and meditation bring peace to the mind and strength to the body.
    On this occasion, District Officer Tehri Smt. Ewa Srivastava, Additional Secretary Shri Ashish Chauhan and other dignitaries were present.
