Governor Extends Greetings to the People of Uttarakhand on Hindi Diwas

Governor of Uttarakhand, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.), has extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of Hindi Diwas.

In a message issued on the eve of Hindi Diwas, the Governor said that Hindi is a language that naturally and effectively expresses our thoughts, emotions and cultural ethos. It plays an important role in strengthening the spirit of unity in the diversity of the country.

He said that the reach and use of Hindi are continuously expanding. From literature and education to science, technology and communication, the use of Hindi has grown significantly. Its rich literary heritage and simple, accessible form have made it a language that connects people across the country.

The Governor said that the younger generation has an important role to play in promoting Hindi. Children and youth should be encouraged to develop a deeper connection with the language and its use should be promoted in everyday life. He called upon the people of Uttarakhand to actively participate in the respect, preservation and promotion of Hindi.
