Governor Extends Teachers’ Day Greetings to the People of Uttarakhand

Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) has extended his heartiest greetings and best wishes to all teachers across the state on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.

The Governor said that teachers are the cornerstone of nation-building and the creation of a strong society. Teachers not only impart knowledge to students but also nurture values, discipline, moral character and a sense of responsibility in them. He said that teachers play a vital role in shaping the personality of students and guiding them towards the right path in life.

On the occasion, the Governor paid respectful tribute to the great teacher, philosopher and former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, on his birth anniversary, and remembered his invaluable contribution to the field of education.

The Governor said that in today’s rapidly changing times, the role of teachers has become even more important. It is essential to integrate education with innovation, technology, skills and values so that students can be prepared to meet the challenges of the future.

The Governor said that teachers across Uttarakhand are making a significant contribution towards shaping a better future for students through their knowledge and dedication. He said that the responsibility of teachers is not limited to teaching children, but also includes instilling good values in them and providing them with the right direction in life.

The Governor wished all teachers of the state good health, happiness and a bright future.
