The Governor of Uttarakhand, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.), met with the Vice-Chancellor of Uttarakhand Ayurved University, Dehradun, Professor Arun Kumar Tripathi, at Lok Bhavan on Wednesday as a courtesy call.

During the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor briefed the Governor on the university’s academic and research activities, its national and international achievements, ongoing research projects, and its future roadmap. He also informed the Governor about the development of infrastructure facilities and various institutional development initiatives being undertaken by the university. The Vice-Chancellor presented the Governor with the university’s coffee table book, “Ayurgatha,” highlighting its achievements, along with a short film.

The Governor stated that Ayurveda is a vital pillar of India’s ancient and rich knowledge tradition. He expressed the expectation that the university should contribute to the vision of Developed India 2047 by integrating Ayurveda with modern science, innovation, research, and technology, thereby giving it a new direction.

Reviewing the university’s ongoing development works, the Governor directed that infrastructure facilities be further strengthened and that research- and innovation-driven projects be implemented in a timely manner.
