    Sikh Delegation Pays Courtesy Visit to the Governor

    A Sikh delegation paid a courtesy visit to the Governor, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.), at Lok Bhavan on Friday.

    On the occasion, the delegation expressed its gratitude to the State Government, the Chief Minister, and the administration for handling the recent challenging situation with sensitivity and effectiveness. The delegation stated that the balanced and compassionate manner in which the situation was managed was vital for maintaining social unity and harmony.

    The Governor said that the Sikh faith has always upheld the principles of “Nation First” and “Sarbat da Bhala” (the welfare of all) as its highest priorities. He added that Uttarakhand has consistently followed the tradition of “Atithi Devo Bhava” (the guest is equivalent to God), warmly welcoming all pilgrims and visitors.

    The Governor further stated that both the Char Dham Yatra and the Hemkund Sahib Yatra are being conducted smoothly, safely, and in an organized manner, with all necessary arrangements in place to ensure the convenience and security of devotees.

    Those present on the occasion included Narenderjit Singh Bindra, President of the Gurudwara Shri Hemkund Sahib Management Trust, Rishikesh; Gurdeep Singh, President of Singh Sabha, Doiwala; Gurbaksh Singh Rajan, President of Singh Sabha, Dehradun; Balbir Singh Sahni, President of Gurudwara Race Course; and Onkar Singh, President of Singh Sabha, Noonawala.
