Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) participated in the “Parivar Milan Program” organized at Lok Bhavan on Wednesday. Addressing the officers, employees, and their family members on the occasion, he said that Lok Bhavan is not merely a workplace, but a strong family bound together by affection, trust, and shared responsibilities. He stated that behind the success of any institution, not only the dedication of its employees but also the sacrifice, patience, and support of their families play an important role. On this occasion, he also honored the officers and employees of Lok Bhavan for their outstanding work.

The Governor said that Lok Bhavan symbolizes Uttarakhand’s glorious heritage, excellent administrative values, and rich cultural traditions. Preserving its historical dignity, natural beauty, and institutional prestige is a collective responsibility of all.

He said that, as in previous years, various works related to infrastructure improvement, environmental conservation, and heritage enhancement have also been carried out at Lok Bhavan this year. He also appreciated the contribution of every member of the Lok Bhavan family in the successful organization of events such as the Governor’s Cup Golf Tournament and “Ek Shaam Sainikon Ke Naam”.

Referring to Uttarakhand’s spiritual and cultural consciousness, the Governor said that the state’s pilgrimage sites and natural surroundings inspire values of life, inner strength, and dedication to duty.

At the end of the program, the Governor expressed gratitude to all members of the Lok Bhavan family and their family members, and wished them happiness, prosperity, and good health.
