On Tuesday, the Governor, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.), met with the newly appointed Inspector General (IG) of Police for the Kumaon Range, Mrs. Nivedita Kukreti, at Lok Bhavan on a courtesy visit.

During the meeting, the Governor was briefed on the law and order situation and security arrangements in the Kumaon Division. The Governor also extended his best wishes to Mrs. Kukreti for her new assignment.
