    Governor Interacts Warmly with Children of SOS Children’s Village, Bhimtal

    Encourages Them to Dream Big and Become Self-Reliant

    Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) held a warm and interactive session with children from SOS Children’s Village, Bhimtal, at Lok Bhavan on Tuesday. During the interaction, the children presented the Governor with self-made paintings, greeting cards, and other creative items. The Governor appreciated their efforts and praised their talent, creativity, and self-confidence.

    On the occasion, the Governor extended his best wishes to all the children for a bright future. He encouraged them to dream big, work hard, and become inspiring examples for society and the nation through their achievements. Appreciating their confidence and eagerness to learn, he said that continuous effort and a positive mindset can transform every challenge in life into an opportunity.

    The Governor advised the children never to consider themselves inferior and to move forward with confidence. He remarked that people become stronger by overcoming difficult circumstances. He also encouraged them to develop their interest and skills in modern fields such as technology and artificial intelligence so that they can play a meaningful role in building a developed India.

    Praising the service-oriented and dedicated work of SOS Children’s Village, the Governor said that the institution is not merely a shelter home but a vibrant and affectionate family environment where children receive proper opportunities for education, skill development, values, and self-reliance.

    He described the organization’s “Family-Like Care,” “Kinship Care,” and “Foster Care” models as exemplary for society. He said that the organization not only sets an outstanding example of social protection but is also making a significant contribution to nation-building in the true sense. Appreciating the commitment of the institution’s dedicated workers, mothers, and leadership, he assured that such social and humanitarian efforts would receive every possible support.

    The programme was attended by First Lady Mrs. Gurmit Kaur, Assistant Director of SOS Children’s Village, Bhimtal, Ashish Kumar Singh, Nandi Goswami, Yashoda, and the children of SOS Children’s Village, Bhimtal.
