Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) today unveiled the books The Leadership Funnel and Thought to Ink, edited by Prof. K.P. Singh, at a ceremony held in New Delhi. The books are dedicated to the developmental journey of Uttarakhand, public service, and the spirit of “Nation First” championed by the Governor.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that these books are not merely publications but living documents that reflect Uttarakhand’s development journey, commitment to public service, and vision for national interest. He noted that The Leadership Funnel is not a chronicle of his personal tenure alone; rather, it represents the collective journey of Uttarakhand’s youth, women, soldiers, teachers, scientists, and dedicated contributors to society.

He stated that “Nation First” has remained the guiding principle of his life throughout more than four decades of service in the Indian Army and during his tenure as Governor. He emphasized that the path to a developed India passes through the development of its states and that continuous efforts are being made to position Uttarakhand as a leader in education, research, innovation, tourism, culture, and spirituality.

The Governor further remarked that Thought to Ink is not merely a collection of ideas but an effort to foster meaningful dialogue on nation-building, education, youth empowerment, social awareness, and public participation. He expressed confidence that the books would inspire young people, researchers, administrators, and various sections of society.

The Governor congratulated Prof. K.P. Singh, publisher Mr. Sandeep Jain, and the team of Atal Prakashan for this commendable work, appreciating their research, dedication, and hard work.
