Governor Attends Program at Kanha Shanti Vanam, Hyderabad

Hon’ble Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) attended a program at Kanha Shanti Vanam, Hyderabad, today. The event was organized to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur, along with the birth anniversaries of Ram Chandra (Babuji) Maharaj and Tukdoji Maharaj.
The program was attended by Ram Nath Kovind, Governor of Telangana Shiv Pratap Shukla, Kamlesh D. Patel, saints, scholars, and spiritual seekers from India and abroad.
Sharing his experience, the Governor said that meditation at Kanha Shanti Vanam offered a profound sense of inner peace. He described the center as not just an ashram but a global hub of spiritual consciousness, spreading the message of unity through meditation, service, and dedication.
Delivering his address on the theme “One Humanity, One Heart: Teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji,” the Governor reflected on the life and sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, describing it as the highest example of courage, religious freedom, and unwavering commitment to truth. He stated that the Guru’s sacrifice demonstrated that true faith stands for the protection of others’ beliefs as well.
He emphasized that the sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji is not merely a historical event but a living inspiration for the present times. In today’s global context, where the world faces challenges of intolerance and division, his teachings provide a path of peace, harmony, and humanity.
The Governor called upon the youth to adopt the path of meditation, self-reflection, and service to lead meaningful lives. He added that in the digital age, meditation not only enhances concentration but also contributes significantly to personality and character development.
