    Governor Visits IISc Bengaluru, Reviews Advanced Research and Innovation Facilities

    Hon’ble Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) visited the prestigious Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, one of the country’s leading research institutions.

    During his visit, the Governor toured ARTPARK (AI & Robotics Technology Park), a premier innovation hub in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics. The park serves as an advanced research and startup ecosystem focused on developing technological solutions in areas such as healthcare, agriculture, education, mobility, and cyber security.

    The Governor was briefed by the Chief Executive Officer of ARTPARK on cutting-edge research initiatives, startup incubation activities, and the integrated model of collaboration among industry, academia, and government.

    He also visited the Centre for Nano Science and Engineering (CeNSE), a world-class center for research in nano science and semiconductor technologies. The center is engaged in advanced research across domains including nanoelectronics, quantum technologies, micro and nano devices, solar cells, and biotechnology.

    On the occasion, the Governor stated that institutions like IISc play a vital role in advancing the nation towards scientific, technological, and innovation-driven self-reliance. He appreciated the work being carried out in the fields of artificial intelligence, robotics, and nanotechnology, and emphasized the need to strengthen inter-state collaboration in these emerging sectors.
