Governor Confers Distinctive Badges to Security Personnel at Lok Bhavan

In a significant initiative to provide a distinct identity to security personnel deployed at Lok Bhawan, Hon’ble Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) conferred special badges during a formal ceremony. Under this initiative, security personnel have been issued unique badges to be worn during duty. The badge bears the inscription “Governor’s Security” at the top and “Uttarakhand Police” at the bottom, symbolizing their role, responsibility, and dignity.

Addressing the gathering, the Governor stated that this initiative will not only provide a distinct identity to security personnel but also serve as an important step toward strengthening their morale. He emphasized that Lok Bhawan is not merely a building, but a symbol of constitutional dignity, administrative responsibility, and the prestige of the state, and every personnel deployed in its security plays the role of a vigilant and dedicated guardian.

The Governor further stated that the badge is not just a symbol, but represents values such as duty, discipline, alertness, and commitment. Wearing it is both an honor and a responsibility, inspiring security personnel to remain constantly aware of their duties. He appreciated the coordinated efforts of the police department, administration, and concerned officials in implementing this initiative.

On this occasion, Secretary to the Governor Shri Ravinath Raman stated that the initiative was undertaken under the inspiration of the Hon’ble Governor. He informed that the badge conferment was carried out following due procedures in coordination with the Home Department and the Police Department, and it would encourage personnel to perform their duties with greater responsibility.

Additional Secretary to the Governor Smt. Reena Joshi, ADC to the Governor Shri Amit Srivastava, Major Sumit Kumar Shadija, Financial Controller Dr. Tripti Srivastava, and Chief Security Officer Lok Bhawan Shri Pankaj Kothiyal were also present on the occasion.
