I extend my respectful greetings to all present at this proud sixth convocation ceremony of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Rishikesh including the Honorable Vice President of India Shri C P Radhakrishnan the Honorable Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami the Honorable Union Minister of State Smt Anupriya Patel the Chairman of the Institute Dr Raj Bahadur the Executive Director Professor Doctor Meenu Singh respected members of the governing bodies distinguished faculty parents media representatives and my dear students receiving degrees today
First of all I warmly welcome the Honorable Vice President to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand on this important occasion Your presence is a source of inspiration for all of us Your guidance will undoubtedly provide new energy and direction to the young doctors present here in serving the nation
Today’s convocation is a sacred celebration of your dedication perseverance and spirit of service It is also a significant moment for society and the nation This is the point where years of hard work transform into new responsibilities Convocation marks the beginning of a new direction new duties and a greater purpose in your lives
In this holy land of Uttarakhand where the continuous flow of the Ganga inspires us to keep moving forward and the steadfastness of the Himalayas teaches us to remain firm in our duties I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all graduating students This success is not yours alone It is the result of your parents sacrifices your teachers guidance and the expectations of the nation

It is a matter of great satisfaction that the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Rishikesh in a short span of time has achieved remarkable heights in healthcare services medical education and research Today it has become a center of trust and excellence for the entire country Patients who once had to travel long distances for quality treatment are now receiving the same facilities within their own state saving time resources and strengthening public confidence in local healthcare systems
In particular the free air ambulance service initiated for hilly and remote regions has accelerated healthcare delivery Providing advanced medical care within the golden hour is nothing short of lifesaving Similarly the use of drone technology for medicine delivery demonstrates that when technology is combined with a spirit of service it becomes a boon for society
Today the field of medicine is rapidly evolving Artificial intelligence digital health and modern research methodologies are making healthcare more precise and effective The artificial intelligence center of excellence at the institute is an important step in preparing our healthcare system for the future

You are entering a profession that demands not only knowledge but also compassion When a patient comes to you they bring not just an illness but also trust and hope Your smile your behavior and your empathy reassure them that they are in safe hands
Healthcare accessibility in the mountainous regions of Uttarakhand still remains a challenge It is expected that dedicated and energetic doctors like you will transform these challenges into opportunities When you serve in remote villages you will not only provide treatment but also light a new flame of trust and hope
In our culture health is not merely physical well being but also mental social and spiritual balance Traditions like yoga and ayurveda have gained global recognition By integrating modern medical science with these traditional systems we can develop a holistic healthcare model that can guide not only India but the entire world
