Governor Extends Greetings on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti and Baisakhi

Hon’ble Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) has extended his greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.

In his message, the Governor said that Babasaheb was a strong advocate of social justice, equality, and human rights. He dedicated his life to the upliftment of the underprivileged and marginalized sections of society.

He stated that the ideals and thoughts of Dr. Ambedkar continue to inspire society to move forward on the path of equality and justice. His invaluable contribution to the making of the Indian Constitution will always be remembered.

The Governor also extended his greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of Baisakhi. In his message, he said that Baisakhi is a festival of joy, enthusiasm, and prosperity, which promotes harmony and unity in society. It is also a symbol of the country’s rich agricultural traditions and the hard work of farmers.

He further stated that Baisakhi holds special significance for the Sikh community. On this day, Guru Gobind Singh founded the Khalsa Panth, which stands as a symbol of courage, sacrifice, and dedication.

On this auspicious occasion, the Governor prayed for the happiness, prosperity, and good health of all citizens.
