The Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand addressed the MIICCIA Legend Enterprise Awards 2026 at The Ashok Hotel, Chanakyapuri, marking the 10th anniversary of the Millennial India International Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (MIICCIA).

In his address, the Governor underscored that enterprise is not merely an economic activity, but a vital force in nation building. He noted that behind every successful enterprise lies perseverance, responsibility, and the ability to take decisions in uncertain conditions. Drawing from his own experience in uniform, he emphasized that leadership is tested not in comfort, but in challenging circumstances where clarity of purpose and commitment become critical.

Highlighting the role of institutions such as MIICCIA, the Governor stated that chambers of commerce serve as essential bridges between government and industry, facilitating dialogue, aligning interests, and enabling collaborative growth. He commended MIICCIA for completing a decade of meaningful contribution in nurturing enterprise and fostering industry engagement.

Referring to India’s development trajectory, the Governor spoke about the collective responsibility of all stakeholders in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. He emphasized that while the government creates an enabling environment, it is industry and entrepreneurs who generate momentum through innovation, investment, and execution.

The Governor also highlighted Uttarakhand’s growing economic potential. He noted that the state’s Gross State Domestic Product is projected to exceed ₹4.29 lakh crore, reflecting strong growth. Tourism has emerged as a major driver, with footfall crossing 6 crore visitors, while the MSME sector continues to expand, generating employment and strengthening local economies. He reiterated that Uttarakhand remains committed to sustainable and balanced development, given its ecological significance.

Extending an invitation to industry leaders, the Governor called upon entrepreneurs and investors to partner with Uttarakhand across sectors such as tourism, wellness, manufacturing, and renewable energy.

Congratulating the awardees, he remarked that their achievements set benchmarks of excellence and serve as inspiration for others.

The event was attended by distinguished guests, policymakers, industry leaders, and members of the business community.
