The Governor, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd), met the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in New Delhi today on a courtesy visit.
On this occasion, the Governor expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for his continued support, guidance, and encouragement. He acknowledged the consistent assistance of the Central Government in achieving significant progress in areas such as year-round tourism, self-help groups, homestays, and infrastructure development in the state.
During the meeting, the Governor shared updates with the Prime Minister regarding the overall development of the state, various public welfare initiatives, and other contemporary issues. He also discussed the concept of future-oriented universities focusing on emerging domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, and the Metaverse.
The Governor noted that there is great enthusiasm among the people of Uttarakhand regarding the upcoming inauguration of the Delhi–Dehradun Expressway by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on April 14, and that citizens are eagerly awaiting this development.
On the occasion, the Governor presented the Prime Minister with his book based on speeches titled “Atma Ke Swar”. He also gifted his authored books “Absolute Intelligence” on Artificial Intelligence and “Pragya”.
