    On the occasion of World Health Day, the First Lady Smt. Gurmit Kaur participated as the Chief Guest in a program organized at Lok Bhavan. The event, conducted under the aegis of Reckitt and Plan India, included a health camp for families residing at Lok Bhavan, where expert doctors provided free medical check-ups.

    Smt. Gurmit Kaur emphasized the need to focus on the health of women and children, stating that a healthy woman forms the foundation of a healthy family and society. She highlighted the importance of child nutrition, hygiene, and regular health check-ups.

    The First Lady also underlined the strong connection between hygiene and health. She stated that simple practices such as regular handwashing, using clean water, and maintaining cleanliness in surroundings can help prevent many diseases. She described hygiene as both a personal and community responsibility and urged citizens to incorporate these habits into their daily lives.

    She appreciated awareness initiatives like “Dettol Banega Swasth India,” noting that such campaigns play a vital role in promoting hygiene and health awareness. She congratulated all organizations involved and the DBSI team for their commendable efforts. On the occasion, participants who excelled in various games and competitions were also felicitated.

    The event was attended by Secretary to the Governor Ravinath Raman, Estate Officer Amit Srivastava, Finance Controller Dr. Tripti Srivastava, Dr. A.K. Singh, Dr. Pranjali Thapa, Program Manager (Reckitt & Plan India) Syed Ali Naqvi, Manager Plan India Sanjay Singh, along with officials and staff of Lok Bhavan.
