    Program Organized under “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” to Mark Rajasthan and Odisha Statehood Day

    A program was organized at Lok Bhavan under the “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” initiative to commemorate the Statehood Day of Rajasthan and Odisha. The event was attended by officials from Rajasthan and Odisha working in Uttarakhand, along with other distinguished guests. Cultural dance performances by young girls from Odisha, reflecting the rich traditions of the state, captivated the audience.

    The Governor, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd), participated in the program and extended his heartiest greetings and wishes to the people of Rajasthan and Odisha. In his address, he stated that such events symbolize India’s great tradition of “unity in diversity” and help bind the nation together. He emphasized that this is not merely a celebration of statehood, but a living example of India’s cultural integration, strengthening emotional connections among different states.

    The Governor described the “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” initiative as a result of the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting that it promotes the exchange of culture, language, and traditions among states, thereby reinforcing national unity. He stated that India’s greatest strength lies in its unity amidst diversity, which ensures stability, security, and prosperity for the nation.

    He further added that in the present global scenario, the importance of national unity has increased significantly, and such programs play a vital role in strengthening harmony and coordination within society.

    The event was attended by PCCF (HoFF) Dr. Ranjan Kumar Mishra, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Dr. Sharda Prasanna Subuddhi, Secretary to the Governor Ravinath Raman, Additional Secretary Smt. Reena Joshi, Additional Secretary Rohit Kumar Meena, Chief Conservator of Forests (Projects & Community Forestry) Sushant Kumar Pattnaik, Chief Conservator of Forests (Publicity & Eco-Tourism) Prasanna Kumar Patro, and members of the Odisha community including Smt. Pranati Subuddhi, Dr. S.P. Subuddhi, Balbir Singh, Dr. Janaki Ballav Rath, along with other officials and staff.
