The Governor and Chancellor, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.), has appointed Dr. Bhanu Duggal as the Vice-Chancellor of Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University, Dehradun.

Dr. Bhanu Duggal is currently serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Cardiology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rishikesh.

Dr. Duggal has been appointed as Vice-Chancellor for a term of five years from the date of assuming charge, or until attaining the age of 70 years, whichever is earlier, subject to the pleasure of the Chancellor.
