Governor extends greetings to the people of the State on National Voters’ Day

The Governor, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.), extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the State on the occasion of National Voters’ Day.

In his message issued on the eve of the occasion, the Governor said that the role of a vigilant, responsible, and active voter is extremely important for the progress of the nation and the strengthening of democracy. He stated that voting is not merely a constitutional right, but also a moral duty of every citizen. Through voting, citizens not only ensure their participation in the electoral process but also contribute to reinforcing the democratic system.

The Governor emphasized that the success of democracy can be ensured only when every citizen understands the importance of voting and participates actively in it. He appealed to the people of the State to voluntarily exercise their constitutional rights and play an active role in further strengthening the democratic values of the nation.
