Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) released the book “New Parliament: Voice of Bharat” in New Delhi on Tuesday. The book has been authored by Prof. K. P. Singh and presents various aspects related to the new Parliament building.

On the occasion of the book launch, the Governor said that the book preserves a historic moment when the new Parliament building was dedicated to the nation. He stated that the building represents a harmonious blend of modernity and tradition and reflects India’s self-confidence and rich cultural heritage.

The Governor said that the new Parliament building has not been constructed merely to meet administrative requirements, but stands as a symbol of Indian art, culture, and constitutional values. Referring to the Sengol installed in the Parliament complex, he said that it symbolizes duty, service, and dharma, conveying the message that the true purpose of power is service.

Appreciating the author Prof. K. P. Singh, the Governor said that through this book he has presented ideas and emotions associated with democracy in a simple and impactful manner. He expressed hope that the book would prove useful for future generations and help create greater awareness about the Constitution, Parliament, and citizens’ duties.
