14-01-2026 : The Director General of Police, Uttarakhand, Shri Deepam Seth, paid a courtesy call on Governor at Lok Bhavan.

The Director General of Police, Uttarakhand, Shri Deepam Seth, paid a courtesy call on Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) at Lok Bhavan on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the Director General of Police briefed the Governor in detail on the law and order situation and crime control measures in the state. Discussions were also held on technology-driven policing, the use of artificial intelligence, cyber security, and preparations for the upcoming Kumbh Mela.

In addition, the DGP apprised the Governor of various important initiatives related to the strengthening of police training, capacity enhancement of the SDRF, disaster management, rapid emergency response systems, and public safety.

The Governor provided necessary guidance for making the police system in the state technology-enabled, transparent, and citizen-centric, and emphasized maintaining a robust policing framework in view of the upcoming Kumbh Mela and other major events.
