On the occasion of National Youth Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of the great inspirational icon and visionary leader Swami Vivekananda, the Governor of Uttarakhand, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.), extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the state, especially to the youth.

In his message on the eve of National Youth Day, the Governor said that Swami Vivekananda was not merely a philosopher, but a powerful symbol of self-confidence, character, and national consciousness. His thoughts continue to inspire the youth to become self-reliant, courageous, and dedicated to their goals even today.

The Governor stated that India’s youth is not just a demographic figure, but a decisive force that shapes the nation’s direction. When young people learn from their experiences and move forward with society, strong and meaningful leadership emerges. He emphasized that true leadership goes beyond personal success and is rooted in thinking and working for the larger interests of society and the nation.

He further said that this era of Amrit Kaal is filled with both opportunities and responsibilities for the youth. The vision of transforming India into a developed nation and a global leader can only be realized when young people channel their energy, innovation, and determination towards nation-building. The Governor urged the youth to imbibe the ideals of Swami Vivekananda in their lives and, by walking the path of duty, service, and dedication, actively contribute to building a bright future for the nation and society.
