    On Wednesday, members of the Uttarakhand United Divyang Cricket Association paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Uttarakhand, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.), at Lok Bhavan. During the meeting, they informed the Governor that the Indian Wheelchair Cricket Team had recently delivered an outstanding performance in the International T-20 Tournament held in Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh). Competing against teams from India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, the Indian team emerged victorious by defeating Sri Lanka in the final.

    Three players associated with the Uttarakhand United Divyang Cricket Association—Captain Manoj Parmar, Vikas Lamba, and Harendra Singh—made significant contributions to this remarkable achievement.

    On this occasion, the Governor congratulated the players and extended his best wishes, lauding their achievement. He said that the exceptional performance of Divyang players is a reflection of their self-confidence, determination, and hard work, and serves as an inspiration for other players across the state and the country. The Governor expressed confidence that Divyang sportspersons will continue to bring pride to the state and the nation at national and international platforms in the future.
