26-11-2025 : On the occasion of the Foundation Day of Bharat Scouts and Guides, a delegation of the organization called on the Hon’ble Governor at Raj Bhawan

On the occasion of the Foundation Day of Bharat Scouts and Guides, a delegation of the organization called on the Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.), at Raj Bhawan on Wednesday. The delegation apprised the Governor of their ongoing activities and future plans, and also presented him with a scarf and badge as a symbol of their association.

The Governor conveyed his best wishes on the Foundation Day and said that the moral values and volunteer-based principles of Scouts and Guides are extremely significant for the nation and society in the present times. He emphasized that these values must be spread to every household and that efforts should be made to strengthen the organization by increasing its membership. The Governor remarked that as India marches towards the vision of a Viksit Bharat, the role of Scouts and Guides will remain vital in driving progress across all sectors.

On this occasion, State Commissioner of Bharat Scouts & Guides Mr. Himanshu Saxena, Assistant Commissioner Ms. Alka Mishra, District Secretary Mr. Ankur Kumar, and other office bearers of the organization were present.
