01-10-2025 : “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar” Health Camp organized at Raj Bhawan.

Under the “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar” campaign, a large-scale health camp was organized at Raj Bhawan on Wednesday for officers, staff, and their family members. A team of specialist doctors from Doon Medical College conducted health check-ups for a total of 267 individuals.

The camp included specialists in ophthalmology, cardiology, general surgery, psychiatry, ENT, dermatology, obstetrics & gynecology, general medicine, and orthopedics. Facilities such as ECG, X-ray, and other diagnostic tests were provided, along with free medical consultation and essential medicines. Additionally, 10 people donated blood during the camp.

Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd.) inspected the camp, interacted with the doctors regarding the process and facilities, and engaged with attendees to understand their experience. He appreciated the medical arrangements and the dedicated service of the doctors.

The Governor said that the campaign initiated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister is particularly beneficial for mothers, sisters, and daughters, who often neglect their health due to family responsibilities. He emphasized that health awareness is the foundation of a good life. “The well-being of the Raj Bhawan family is our priority. Only when our staff and their families are healthy can they perform their duties with full dedication,” he added. He expressed gratitude to the doctors and medical staff for their service, noting that their commitment greatly benefited the Raj Bhawan family.

On this occasion, Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar, Director General Health Dr. Sunita Tamta, Principal of Doon Medical College Dr. Geeta Jain, Raj Bhavan Medical Officer Dr. Mahavir Singh, Dr. A.K. Singh, Dr. Pranjal Thapa, along with other doctors and officials were present.
