    17-09-2025 : Governor and Chief Minister Join Virtual Launch of “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar” & 8th National Nutrition Month.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched the nationwide “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar” initiative along with the 8th National Nutrition Month from Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. He also laid the foundation stones for other projects and addressed the public gathering.

    This campaign will run 17 September–2 October across Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, Community Health Centres (CHCs), district hospitals, and government health facilities. Over one lakh health camps are planned, making it India’s largest-ever women and child health initiative, with daily health camps at every government centre.

    Joining virtually from Rajkiya Doon Medical College, Dehradun, Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inspected stalls and interacted with participants.

    Speaking to the media, the Governor said,

    “A healthy and aware woman gives new direction to society. This campaign is the foundation of a stronger family and community. I urge every citizen to participate and make it a people’s movement so that every woman receives comprehensive health care and lives a dignified, safe, and healthy life.”

    He added that the Prime Minister’s vision reflects deep commitment to women, youth, farmers, and the underprivileged, reinforcing confidence that India will become a developed, self-reliant nation and a global leader by 2047.
    The Governor praised the “Swadeshi” spirit of the Prime Minister’s message, expressing belief that embracing indigenous products and practices will spark a new national renaissance. He highlighted the progress of Uttarakhand’s women self-help groups in quality, branding, and packaging, noting that the Swadeshi mantra will accelerate their success.

    The Chief Minister congratulated the Prime Minister on his birthday and lauded his role in all-round national development, from Char Dham projects to air connectivity expansion. He acknowledged the Prime Minister’s support to Uttarakhand during disasters such as Raini, Joshimath, Silkyara, and this year’s natural calamities, and encouraged women across the state to take full benefit of the health campaign.

    Cabinet Ministers Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Smt. Rekha Arya, MP Smt. Mala Rajyalakshmi Shah, MLAs Khajan Das, Vinod Chamoli, Smt. Savita Kapoor, Suresh Gadiya, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, and Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar were among the dignitaries present.
