On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, the Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand, Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd), conveyed heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the people of the state.

In a message issued on the eve of the occasion, the Governor said that Hindi is not only our mother tongue but also a vital pillar of India’s cultural identity and national unity. He described Hindi as a powerful medium for expressing thoughts and emotions and highlighted its enduring role in strengthening the nation’s collective voice.

The Governor noted that Hindi has enhanced India’s global recognition while fostering national integration. He expressed pride that Hindi is among the world’s most widely spoken languages and urged continuous efforts to enrich it further so it remains a source of inspiration for future generations. He called upon all citizens to make Hindi an integral part of their daily lives and to actively contribute to its promotion and propagation.
