08-09-2025:Governor Applauds Sanskrit University’s Publication on Mimamsa Philosophy
The Vice-Chancellor of Uttarakhand Sanskrit University, Haridwar, Prof. Dinesh Chandra Shastri, paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Uttarakhand, Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd), at Raj Bhawan today.
On this occasion, Prof. Shastri presented books on Mimamsa Darshan to the Governor. He informed that the University has edited and published the first-ever Hindi commentary on Mimamsa Philosophy, originally written in the mid-20th century by Pandit Ganga Prasad Upadhyay. The publication comprises nearly two thousand pages compiled in four volumes, with financial support from the Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi.
The Governor lauded the University’s initiative, stating that such scholarly works are invaluable for understanding Indian philosophy and culture. He added that this contribution will serve as a source of knowledge and inspiration for generations to come.
