01-09-2025 : Governor of Uttarakhand Meets Kargil Hero and Param Vir Chakra Awardee Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav.

The Governor of Uttarakhand, Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd), today met Kargil war hero and Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav at Raj Bhawan.

The Governor extended a warm welcome to Captain Yadav and lauded his unmatched gallantry, courage, and indomitable spirit. He recalled the heroic battle of Tiger Hill during the Kargil War, where Captain Yadav’s extraordinary bravery brought immense pride to the nation. He said that Captain Yadav’s saga of valor will forever inspire future generations with the ideals of patriotism, duty, and courage.

The Governor remarked that Param Vir Chakra awardees are living inspirations for the country. Their life stories illuminate the path of nation-building and set shining examples of sacrifice, dedication, and heroism for the youth. He described Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav as a priceless treasure of the nation, whose contribution will always be remembered with honor.
