Akhara Parishad President Shri Balwant Singh, Sant Shri Jaswinder Singh Kothari of Nirmal Panchayat Akhara and Sikh delegation met Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) on Saturday at Raj Bhawan. There was a detailed discussion between the Governor and the saints on spirituality, rich Indian cultural values and contribution of Uttarakhand in the spiritual field. Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd) said that since ancient times spiritual gurus and saints have played an important role in the welfare and development of the society. Saints have always guided the society. Saints-Mahatmas have been contributing in nation building importantly. The sacrifices of the saints for the betterment of the society are inspiring.
