09-11-2021 : Governor felicitated 16 meritorious students of the state at Raj Bhawan on the occasion of State Foundation Day.

Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) felicitated 16 meritorious students of the state at Raj Bhawan on the occasion of State Foundation Day on Tuesday. While addressing the students Governor said that you are leaders . Your family, society, state and country have many expectations from you. You are the future of the nation. Reach your goals with determination. You have to lead the world. The Governor shared his life experiences with the students and encouraged them. It is worth mentioning that Governor has started a new tradition of honoring meritorious students and people doing excellent work in the state at Raj Bhawan on every state foundation day.
On this occasion Abhishek Semwal from Tehri district, Himanshu Raturi, Simran Negi from Chamoli district, Adarsh ​​Bhatt from Rudraprayag district, Alok Bhandari, Garima, Jayshree Rohit Kumar Gupta from Dehradun district, Hoshiar Singh from Pithoragarh district, Himanshu Rana, Laxmi Kharayat were awarded for getting 99 to 100 percent marks in class 10th and 12th examinations.
On this occasion Smt Gurmit Kaur, wife of Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd). Director of Education Smt Seema Jaunsari, Shri R.K. Uniyal, other senior officers of Education Department, teachers and students were present.
