06-10-2021 : The founder of Dehradun Cycling Club, Mr. Harisimran Singh, called on Governor Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Gurmit Singh at Raj Bhawan

The founder of Dehradun Cycling Club, Mr. Harisimran Singh, called on Governor Lt. Gen. (Retd.)  Gurmit Singh at Raj Bhawan on Wednesday. On the occasion, school students who regularly cycle also met the Governor.

Club founder Shri Harisimran Singh told the Governor that since 2015 his organization has been motivating and sensitizing people especially youth, students and working people and women for cycling.  So far 800 members have been added to the organization.  The purpose behind connecting youth with cycling is to explain how physical and mental health can be achieved through bicycle.

The Governor also asked the Raj Bhawan to give 60 cycling helmets to the active and special needy members of the club.

He said that health should be everyone’s priority.  It is very important for the youth to be aware of their mental and physical health.  Youth is the future of the country and this organization is contributing in building a healthy and young India, which is commendable work.
