    31-12-2021 : Governor of Uttarakhand greets on the occasion of New Year.

    Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) has extended greetings to all the people of the state for the New Year 2022. It is noteworthy that Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) will reach Gunji, the last village of Pithoragarh District on Saturday on the occasion of New Year. Governor will celebrate New Year with the Jawans of Border Roads Organization (BRO) .

    In his message issued on the eve of the New Year, Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) said that “Hope that the New Year 2022 would bring good health, happiness, progress, happiness and prosperity in the lives of all the people of the state. May the New Year infuse the new hopes, feelings of humanity, service, philanthropy and peace in the country and the world. Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) said that this New Year should pave the way for mutual love, fraternity, harmony and peace. New Year is an occasion for a new beginning with new resolutions. We all have to work together with a dedicated spirit to build a new India with new thinking, new energy and new hope.

    Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) told the people of the state that we have to face the challenges arising out of Covid-19 and its new variants with unity. We have to defeat this invisible enemy with self-discipline and determination. The COVID protocol has to be strictly followed. Other people also have to be educated and made aware in this regard.

    Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) called upon the people of the state to reaffirm our commitment towards nation building and welfare on the occasion of New Year and to achieve the noble goal of making India the world’s supreme nation and Vishva Guru. We have to work with enthusiasm and strength for the development of the country.
